The Foreign Monitor is a journal of ideas with interesting, engaging, informed analysis about the international world with a focus on the Middle East. We publish international news and analysis. We like the small voices: we do not seek out the famous journalists. We instead wish to hear from workers, students, butchers, seamstresses, clerks, wives, beggars. The Foreign Monitor was created to be a forum for people all over the world to discuss about their governments and the human rights abuses that take place in their countries. Most importantly, we are dedicated to free speech and freedom of the press.

If you want to know how a government works, look at the people they govern who can do nothing for them.
